Eight new stores and eateries Open at The Promenade at Coconut Creek PDF Imprimir E-mail
07.01.2009

When retailers around the country are closing up shop and malls are struggling to stay afloat, The Promenade at Coconut Creek in Broward County, Florida continues to thrive. Eight new vendors are joining the center’s existing men’s and women’s apparel stores, service shops and restaurants.

Three restaurants, four retail stores, and a nail spa opened in December. Entertaining patrons for lunch, dinner and in between are Grape Merchant Wine, a wine boutique and bar; the popular chain Lime Fresh Mexican Grill; and the requisite Starbuck’s Coffee. Noteworthy Stationary sells stationary, invitations and gifts; Sur La Table features cooking and kitchen wares; Kassis offers stylish women’s athletic apparel; and Body & Soul Intimates showcases the softer side of women’s fashion. Finally, Venetian Nail Spa pampers weary shoppers’ hands and feet.

Stanbery Development officially opened the doors to this 23-acre shopping center on November 1st with a two weekend long grand opening celebration. Lime recently hosted its own grand opening on Dec. 4th, with a ribbon cutting ceremony and proclamation presentation by City of Coconut Creek Mayor Becky Tooley. The event benefited The Sidekick Foundation, which provides martial arts scholarships to at-risk youths, people with disabilities and the elderly.

With Phase One complete, Phase Two will have an additional 105,000 square feet of retail and office, scheduled for completion in 2009. In total, The Promenade at Coconut Creek will be home to 75 retailers, restaurants and services and is the largest mixed use lifestyle center in Northern Broward County.

The 350,000 square-foot “Live-Work-Play” shopping and lifestyle destination is a LEED pre-certified development, and has aligned itself with the City of Coconut Creek, itself an environmentally-conscious and progressive municipality. The Promenade at Coconut Creek will be one of the first major developments in the southeastern United States to win Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification, a nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high-performance green buildings.

The Promenade at Coconut Creek is centrally located at 4451 Lyons Rd. at the intersection of Lyons and Wiles Roads, easily accessible from Interstates 75, 95 and Florida’s Turnpike.
