Hialeah, FL - Mayor Julio Robaina, the City Council and the City of Hialeah, invite members of the media to Hialeah's Annual Toy Drive. Every year, children from low income families are sponsored by City of Hialeah employees to receive toys for the Holiday Season. The list of kids is provided by Hialeah schools and The Child Hope Foster Home Center.
This year, over 400 children from local schools will participate in receiving toys, as Santa Claus, escorted by the Hialeah Fire Department, will visit Wilde Park to deliver gifts and take pictures! Also present, will be the Hialeah Police Department's K9 Unit treating the kids to a thrilling demonstration and the Fire Department will conduct a firehouse demo on fire prevention and education.
In addition to the massive toy giveaway at Victor Wilde Park, Mayor Robaina, along with Santa, will visit HML Senior High Special Populations Class and the children at Amelia Earhart Elementary to bring Christmas cheer and greetings! We encourage you to join us at these heartwarming events when we hand out the toys to children who are less fortunate.
