MIAMI, Fla. — Ocean Bank promoted Jay Bunes, to senior vice president and regional commercial lending manager for the bank’s corporate lending team in Broward County.
Ocean Bank also hired Clinton Taylor and David Peters as vice presidents and corporate banking officers, to be part of the Broward corporate lending team.
Bunes, who joined Ocean Bank in 1997 and has more than 25 years of banking experience, will oversee all operational and administrative duties of his team of corporate lenders in Broward County. Prior to his promotion, Bunes was branch manager at Ocean Bank’s Fort Lauderdale branch, where he was in charge of the daily branch duties.

Bunes holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. He’s a member of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, the Beacon Council and the Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce.

Both Taylor and Peters will be responsible for underwriting loans, preparation, approval and verification of wire transfers, customer service and servicing accounts and loans under portfolio. They will also be in charge of developing other portfolios and providing assistance to other officers with completion of their KYC (Know Your Customer) forms.
Taylor, who has more than 25 years of banking experience, was vice president and relationship manager at Wachovia Bank prior to joining Ocean Bank. There he was responsible for managing a loan portfolio and the marketing and development of commercial loans.
Taylor has a Master of Business Administration degree from Nova Southeastern University. He also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix in Phoenix, Arizona.
Before joining Ocean Bank, Peters, who has more than 10 years of banking experience, was vice president and relationship manager for Wachovia Bank. In that position he was responsible for new business development in commercial and investment real estate loans.
Peters holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a double major in Accounting and Finance from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida.
