Miami, FL — Ocean Bank has added three executives to its branch administration team. Piedad Barros joined the bank as senior vice president and branch manager of the Coral Gables Branch.
And Louis Pérez returned to Ocean Bank as senior vice president and branch manager of the Main Branch. Christian Alfonso joined as vice president and branch manager of the Brickell Branch.
All three executives, Barros, Pérez and Alfonso, will be responsible for the management of the principal activities of their perspective branches. This includes developing the branch’s asset quality and increasing profitability with well-maintained deposits and loan portfolios, while supervising all its personnel, controlling operational expenses and giving quality customer service.

Barros was most recently senior vice president and branch manager for Bank of Coral Gables where she successfully managed a deposit base of $120 million. She has more than 30 years of banking experience in the Coral Gables community.
Barros attended Garces Commercial College in Miami. She’s a member of the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce and past president of the Colombian-American Chamber of Commerce.

Pérez, who has 15 years of banking experience, joined Ocean Bank in 1993, and then left the bank to pursue opportunities with TotalBank in late 2007. As senior vice president and branch relationship manager at TotalBank, he was responsible for main office’s deposit and loans portfolio.
Pérez holds a Bachelor of Art degree in Economics from Montclair State College in New Jersey.
Alfonso, who has more than 25 years of banking experience, was most recently branch manager of the main office and senior lender for Transatlantic Bank. His responsibilities included supervising their Downtown Miami Business District Banking Center and handling their loan portfolio.

Alfonso has a Master of Business Administration degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale. He also holds a Bachelor of Science from Florida Memorial University in Miami.
