Ft. Lauderdale, FL — Ocean Bank has appointed Vivian Thomas to vice president and branch manager of the bank’s downtown Ft. Lauderdale branch. He brings more than 15 years of executive banking experience to the bank.
Thomas will be responsible for managing the principal activities of the branch, including increasing its asset quality, and profitability in both deposits and loan portfolios. He also will train and manage a staff of 25 banking officers and personnel.

“Vivian Thomas has an extensive background in retail branch management that will help us continue to expand our deposits and loan portfolios, and he will produce customer service standards that are reflective of the Ocean Bank brand,” said Cindy Cahill, senior vice president and regional retail banking manager. “We are delighted he has joined our team.”
Prior to joining Ocean Bank, Thomas was vice president, financial center leader and branch manager at various financial institutions, among them Branch Banking & Trust, Wachovia and Citibank.
Thomas holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in professional management from Nova Southeastern University (NSU) and graduated with honors with an M.B.A., also from NSU.
