LULAC National Assembly Supports a Restricted Medical License for Latin American Health Workers |

Washington, D.C - In its 79 annual National Convention The League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), the oldest and largest Hispanic organization in the United States, voted unanimously to support the rightful and legitimate aspiration of Latin American Health Workers to look for a Restricted License to practice their career.
LULAC will join and support all initiatives, present and future, through which those Professionals will develop in order to obtain a Full Medical License through a Restricted License.
The Resolution was presented by the Colombian Neurologist Edgar B. George, and supported by the 28 Delegates of the State of Florida presided by Bettina Rodriguez Aguilera Florida State Director.
"We are very happy that LULAC nationally unanimously supported this resolution presented by Florida in favor of obtaining a supervised medical job for those Latin American Health Workers who presented and passed all the USMLE Tests and received the ECFMG Certificate, but have not entered to a Residency Program despite they did the inscription to MATCH/ERAS Program, said the LULAC Delegate, and council President, Edgar B. George.
LULAC Florida plans to contact and work with Congressmen of the State in order to study and discuss an Amend to the Statutes of this State.
