Miami, FL – The Florida Network of Victim Witness Services, Inc. selected Miami Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle as the recipient of their 2007-2008 James Fogarty Award.  

This award is presented annually to a Floridian who has made a lasting contribution to further the cause of Victim and Witness Services.  State Attorney Fernandez Rundle received the award at the organization’s annual luncheon on June 19th at the Deauville Beach Resort in Miami Beach.

“I am proud of the many successful efforts we have pioneered in order to ease the plight of crime victims.  In Miami, I have made it one of my career goals to ensure that victims are never forgotten,” commented Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle.    “It is truly an honor for me to receive this award which I also see as a recognition of the expertise developed by my staff of victims advocates.   Their everyday work with victims and witnesses is an essential element in our daily quest for justice.”
