Miami, FL – The Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office will join members of the Cuban American Bar Association, Dade County Bar Association, Young Lawyers Section, Bilzin Sumberg Baena Price & Axelrod, LLP, BNY Mellon Wealth Management, Daily Business Review, Stearns Weaver Miller Weissler Alhadeff & Sitterson, P.A., Robert Half International, Pathman Lewis, LLP, and the Dade County Public Defender’s Office this Saturday, May 17th, for the 3rd annual Hands on Miami Service Juris Day 2008.
This year’s event will take place at the Juvenile Justice Center and Miami Dade Regional Juvenile Detention Center located at 3300 N.W. 27th Avenue in Miami. Volunteers from Miami’s legal community, along with children, family, and friends, will undertake the extensive renovation and work that the center is in need of by painting, adding new landscaping, and beautifying the facility’s waiting areas and grounds.
“Service Juris Day is a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together in the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate,” commented State Attorney Fernandez Rundle. “This pro-bono project is a worthwhile event that truly enhances people’s lives”.
Registration and breakfast begin at 8:30 AM and the four-hour project is expected to begin at 9:00 AM. The cost is $20.00 and participants must register in advance at www.handsonmiami.org.
