Miami, FL – Latitude on the River, the much lauded mixed-use community on the Miami River, recently took home four new honors at the Florida’s BEST Award Ceremony held at the Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa in Hallandale. The awards included Gold for High-rise for Sale; Platinum for Recreation/Amenities/Clubhouse; Platinum for Commercial/Mixed-use; and the coveted Judge’s Special “Above and Beyond” award, of which only three are presented each year.
The elegant evening was emceed by NBC-6 Anchor Tony Segreto and featured a cocktail hour, dinner and dancing I addition to the awards presentation. “This evening is a gathering of the industry’s finest,” said Steve Gelb, Florida managing partner for E.A. Fish Associates. “We are honored by the acknowledgement and are particularly proud that Latitude was recognized with so many awards among other fine developments because it is a project we committed to delivering on time, as promised. Residents are living along the Miami River, a vision that we worked to bring to fruition.”

The annual Florida’s BEST Awards are the premier building industry competition. This year, a panel of independent judges evaluated products and professionals in the building industry in over two dozen categories. The awards program, formerly known as FAME, is jointly sponsored by the Builders Association of South Florida (BASF), The Miami Herald, and El Nuevo Herald.
The recently completed and closed development by E.A. Fish Associates is also the recipient of Southeast Construction magazine’s Merit Award as well as a Recognition of Excellence Award from the Developers & Builders Alliance.
Arquitectonica is the architect. Nick Luaces is the interior designer. The mixed-use community encompasses three separate components including a 44-story residential tower with 452 units; a 10,000 square-foot building housing a retail bank, and Latitude One with 231,000 square feet of Class-A office space and retail on the ground floor including an upscale European cappuccino bar among other unique shops. Latitude on the River will feature a riverfront restaurant, integrated into the beautiful multi-million dollar meandering Riverwalk being built as part of the revitalization of the Miami River neighborhood.
