Miami State Attorney honored by MADD |

Miami, FL – Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (MADD) presented Miami-Dade County State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle with their “Program Support Award of Honor” at their annual awards ceremony on April 17th.
The national organization also recognized the 15 members of the office’s Traffic Homicide Unit for their invaluable on-call assistance to law enforcement in support of MADD’s mission. Honored were prosecutors Kathleen Hoague, David Gilbert, Christopher Angell, Laura Adams, Patrick Trese, Deisy Rodriguez, Brook Anderson, Ann Marie Buelterman, Kathleen Cortes, Rachel Walters, Juan Carlos Perez, Nina Tarafa, Christopher DeCoste, Suzanne Sostmann, and homicide counselor Vanessa Wilson.
The dinner event took place at the Rusty Pelican Restaurant on Key Biscayne.
“I have always praised MADD’s relentless mission to stop drunk driving, prevent underage drinking, and their never-ending support for the victims of this violent crime,” commented Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle. "It is truly an honor to have been selected for this award. I know that our community is deeply indebted to MADD for their many years of advocacy on behalf of those who have fallen victim to a drunk driver." |
