The event was created to help local business owners open new horizons and opportunities in the struggling economy. Along to share this learning experience with Mayor Robaina, was Steven Preston, Administrator for the SBA. Mr. Preston introduced the Secretary of Commerce, Carlos Gutierrez, who was very happy to see such a great turn out and who spoke very highly of Mayor Robaina and the City of Hialeah.
Approximately 500 people attended the event. Those present were welcomed with a lecture on the benefits of a Free Trade Agreement, along with a town hall meeting with Secretary Gutierrez and vital information from current small businesses exporters. Local business owners, who attended, had the opportunity to learn strategies on how to export their products at an international level and gained experience right from the voice of successful small business owners. |
