Miami, FL – As part of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week which runs from April 13th – 19th, 5 members of Miami-Dade County State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle’s office have been chosen to receive awards during an annual ceremony to commemorate innocent victims of crime.
The luncheon event will take place this coming Monday, April 14th, from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM, at the Rusty Pelican Restaurant on Key Biscayne.
The award recipients, Victim/Witness Supervisor Maria Diaz and Counselors Mary Clarke, Shaun Williams, Patricia Hollocher, and Jose Perez, are all part of the State Attorney’s support staff uniquely assigned to assist victims of any type of crime. The honorees were chosen by an awards committee comprised of members of the Office of the Attorney General, the Victim/Witness Unit of the Coral Gables Police Department, and the Crime Victim Resource Network.
"Victims of crime are the primary concern in each and every one of our cases. My prosecutors and support staff work tirelessly to ensure that victims' voices are heard", commented Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle. "Our community is deeply indebted to these individuals for their many years of service on behalf of those who have fallen victim to crime". |
