Miami, FL— Related Cervera Realty Services (RCRS) recently celebrated the successful completion and the start of closings of The Plaza on Brickell, a lauded mixed-use project by The Related Group, Brickell’s largest residential developer.
Related Cervera Realty Services, the exclusive sales agent, along with Jorge M. Perez from The Related Group, hosted nearly 2,000 guests at a Hollywood-style event held in conjunction with the opening night of the Miami International Film Festival.
The 1000-unit Plaza on Brickell occupies two towers at 951 Brickell Avenue and 950 Brickell Bay Drive in the heart of Miami’s business district. The 43- and 56-story buildings feature a 35,000 square-foot urban square on the ground floor, a posh Manhattan-like lifestyle and signature Miami views. Full-service amenities include poolside cabanas, a state-of-the-art fitness center and a wine lounge with temperature-controlled wine storage. One-bedroom, two-bedroom and penthouse residences range in size from approximately 700 to over 3,000 square feet.

Construction began at the end of 2005 and was completed for the southern tower in January 2008 under the leadership of Ricky Vadia. The northern tower will be completed in April 2008. Since closings began in January under the guidance of Wendy Marks, Zaicha Martell and Jesse Ottley, total volume closed is in excess of $61 million.
Surrounded by an evening-lit cityscape backdrop, golden-hued cabanas, lounge vignettes and art, homeowners, ground-floor tenants, brokers and patrons of the Miami Film Festival enjoyed music by Miami Heat’s DJ Irie poolside. Light bites and cocktails were provided courtesy of Le Basque and Brickell-area restaurants including Rosa Mexicano, Novecento, Morton’s and Blue Martini, among others.

“The Plaza is yet another project that has proved successful in the resurgence of downtown Miami,” says Alicia Cervera Lamadrid, RCRS president. “The number of people at this party and the number of closings complete are reinforcing testaments to the vitality of the market in specific areas, especially in downtown and Brickell where a demand for true urban living exists.”
RCRS has been increasing its presence in downtown, having recently moved its corporate office to 50 Biscayne, a newly completed, 521-unit luxury condominium also developed by The Related Group.
RCRS was founded in 2000 by Cervera Lamadrid, a second generation broker whose mother is the iconic real estate maven Alicia Cervera Sr., and visionary developer Jorge M. Perez, president and CEO of The Related Group. In addition to representing many of The Related Group’s projects, the 140-agent firm specializes in luxury preconstruction sales for other developers. RCRS’ client roster consists of the top names in the real estate and hospitality industry from Viceroy South Beach to St. Regis Resort & Residences. Since its inception, RCRS has sold $6.8 billion of real estate representing more than 13,600 units around Florida.
