Miami, FL- For the past 95 years, The Salvation Army of Miami-Dade has helped thousands of people in need throughout South Florida. As they mark their 95th milestone anniversary this year, the Army would like to share this special occasion with the same community that has been the focus of their social, disaster, youth and senior services.
The Army is seeking out individuals who have been helped by the Army to share their success stories. Whether help was in the form of a warm meal during a post-hurricane power outage, living in one of the homeless shelters for women, men or families, receiving addiction treatment or HIV counseling and housing. If you have a story to tell, please contact Gladys Carcamo at 305-637-6713 or Alicia Vigil at 305-261-6222.
The 95th celebration will also include a Founders' Luncheon for all former and current board members of The Salvation Army board. All past chairmen and their families will be honored at the event planned for this fall. This is all part of a series of events the Army has planned to share their 95 years of doing the most good in Miami.
