Miami Beach, FL - G&D Developers/The Weintraub Companies recently hosted an intimate wine party at Regatta 2 to celebrate the waterfront condominium’s milestones. The evening featured a presentation to a packed house by AIA Miami Chapter’s Architect of the Year Luis Revuelta. Guests enjoyed the sunset over the bay, and toured the model residence in the sales center.
“Tonight provided an intimate forum for the public to learn more about the unique lifestyle at Regatta 2, which really is a departure from typical condominium formats, because Regatta 2 boasts spectacular design and a novel element - a private marina with boat slips,” said Avi Weintraub, principal of The Weintraub Companies.
“Regatta 2 was a unique opportunity to design a project that celebrated the waterfront while paying homage to MiMo architecture,” said Revuelta. “We design from the inside out. The architecture of Regatta 2 is a reflection of the lifestyle itself - functional, highly aesthetic, and luxurious. You feel it just by looking at it.”
The turnout was impressive; people from as far as South Miami to Aventura attended, in part to hear Revuelta share his vision of the project. Revuelta is principal and founding partner of Miami-based Revuelta Vega Leon (RVL), which is responsible for dozens of notable projects. High-profile attendees included Miami Beach Commissioner Richard Steinberg and Elaine Adler of Aventura Marketing Council as well as Carol Housen, president of North Beach Development Corporation.
“In a media firestorm focusing on the halted real estate industry, Regatta 2 still has a strong pulse,” said Fernando Levy Hara, principal of G&D Developers. “The excitement generated by the event substantiated that there is a viable market for niche product.”
Hailed for its ultra contemporary design fused with historic MiMo architecture, Regatta 2 will have, as part of its structure, the façade of the legendary Queen Elizabeth Apartment Hotel, being integrated as a recreation room featuring a gourmet kitchen, lounge and entertainment area. In addition, because Regatta boasts its own private marina, with boat slips, residents will be able to walk right out onto the dock where their boat is moored.
The 115-unit condominium is in the contract phase with completion expected in March 2010. The residences are priced from $270,000 to $1.56 million. The 18 boat slips for sale are priced from $125,000.
Regatta 2 is located at 6644 Indian Creek Dr. next door to the Ronald W. Shane Watersports Center in Miami Beach. The sales gallery is located at 6580 Indian Creek Drive, Suite 309, inside the recently completed Regatta, the predecessor to Regatta 2.
